JDM Travel Guide is an independent guide for visitors to Japan's car culture, starting with drift ride-along and drift-driving experiences. It is run by one person, chihiro, based in Japan, who loves car culture and drives a JZX100 Chaser Tourer V. I have tried a little drifting, ridden along as a passenger, and filmed videos of it.
The guides are research-based: I compare official booking pages, operator pages and booking-site listings, and I say so on each page. I have not taken the specific tours compared here. When that changes, the pages will say what I did and when.
The English text is read by a fluent English speaker before publishing. Prices, policies and routes are checked by me against the listings and official pages, and every page says when I last checked.
How I check the facts
- Prices, cancellation terms and inclusions come from the operator's own website and from the booking sites. For Viator listings I use Viator's partner data, which gives the operator's own price in yen.
- Every page says when it was checked. Prices change, so I re-check the pages I publish about once a month.
- Claims are labelled. When something comes only from a tour seller, the page says so. When I could not confirm something, the page says that too.
- My own experience is marked as mine, with the date. Everything else is research.
- Operators do not pay to be listed, and the order of tours is not for sale. I earn a commission only on some booking-site links, and every page says which.
Who I am not
I do not run tours, sell tickets or arrange transport. I link to the circuits and to booking sites. Some links are affiliate links; see the affiliate disclosure.
If you spot a mistake or an out-of-date price, please tell me so I can fix it.
